They’re always
watching
Down on the ground
Up in the skies
Thousands of cameras
Millions of eyes
They see me
But they do not know
me
They track my
movement
But know not of my
dreams
I’m only a number to
them
I’m more than a
number
We are living in the age of Panopticism. The world is watching you, judging you, and calculating what you represent to society. Whether it be your credit history, your internet browser history, or your work productivity, society values quantifiable data more then ever before. But what of things that are immeasurable? What of your dreams? What of your internal longings and desires? The world observes you, but it does not know you.
